Outback Saddles has always been a family run business.
Amber has spent her whole life dedicated to and involved in the world of horses.
Her career as a Registered Massage Therapist/Acupuncturist led her to equine massage therapy school in Colorado. From there she went to Australia to learn saddle making. This in order to understand the construction, fit and quality of how these saddles are different compared to other styles. Because of her own childhood back injuries and how easy it was to ride in the Australian saddles without pain, she realized then how beneficial these saddles could be for everyone who is looking for a comfortable and secure saddle. Whether they themselves have back and knee injuries or just want the comfort of a light weight saddle.
In 2018 Amber graduated from MSFC in France as a Master Saddle Fitting Consultant as well as furthering her study in saddle repair and flocking at MFSC!
All of these trades as well as her constant research and passion of horses and riding has increased her knowledge of saddle fitting with an emphasis on horse and rider musculoskeletal issues. Finding saddles that help the rider ride better and the horse move without pain or discomfort is the most important element in Amber’s job at Outback Saddles.
